Lola was the first one to volunteer to ride the horse at the fun ranch we visited. We even saw a fun old west gun show with pistols and whips.
Joey only wanted to ride the horse if Aunt Shell rode with him. Papa was arrested by Pistol Packing Paula, for allegedly cheating at a card game.
He was then sentenced to sing "I'm a Little Tea Pot". He was sworn to never do it again, and released to the boys. Come to find later, that Grandma was the one to have him arrested.
Aunt Shell and Mom, sisters forever :)
Sweet new cousin Celeste Karen Mirci, Grandma and Lola swimming in the pool. Aunt Tristy, Mom, Lola and Aunt Shell, posing for the camera man's shadow.
Here we all are in front of one of the beautiful Missions.

Under the arbor, and Joey taking a break in the air conditioned chapel.
Joey was so excited to be at the famous Alamo, that he requested this picture of him there.

The best $10 souvenir was the pop guns the boys went crazy with all around town. It was actually very cute. They went "rabbit hunting" all through the rest of the trip. I guess the locals were used to the sound of constant popping of the wooden guns and their corks. We sure weren't!

Uncle Curtis and Aunt Kasumi know how to entertain a bored 6 year old Joey. Bring a Nintendo DS.

It did get a bit warm for our comfort. Luckily they handed out free basketball shaped "church fans" sporting the local team the Spurs.
A few not so happy kids, to be by the giant stuffed animals.

Joey and Dax were so excited to get their faces painted. Joey's was done very well. Dax's on the other hand was....well...nice.
Once it was time to leave, we were all ready for some rest.
This was a wonderful vacation, but unfortunately the airlines (NORTHWEST) lost our luggage. 3 very large suitcases of ours were gone. We were out a lot of stuff. We never did recover any of it. A few months later we did get a small settlement, but we will always be wary of what we do and do not pack in our checked luggage again. Daddy lost his C-PAP machine, Mommy her Chi flat iron. Joey his beloved Foo Foo, and his 1st woobie. Daxie his Meow Meow, it's twin, and the Tiger and Pooh tag woobie that Gran and Mommy made special. Lola lost lots of clothes and shoes. Not to mention a few pieces of good luggage we had accumulated over the years. All of our souvenirs were also in the luggage. Maybe we can go back again one day and get more!
