The other night, we went as a family to a Fiesta party put on by Joe's Psi Omega friends. During the mist of the chaos of the sugar charged kiddos running all around, while the parents partied with salsa...Joey decides to go up to the microphone where they ran the games from, did announcements, prizes ect... and blurt out something great over the P.A. system. "Go Jazz" "Joey is awesome" "Girls are icky" "Cameron wears pink underwear" You would think he would have seized this opportunity to say something great, something unique, something they would all remember for ever! Well, not our Joey. No, he said nothing other 5 year olds would even know about. Or even care about. He said something only he cares about. Now I see he probably cares too much about.
"Foo Foo is good"
Yes, our beloved friends, and family. Foo Foo is good, is what Joey chose to say during his crowning glory. Most of you don't even care who Foo Foo maybe anyways. But at least everyone there now knows that he is "good".
Joey, in the future I hope you choose to say something more interesting, stunning, maybe even shocking, if you have the chance to yell something into a microphone in front of hundreds of people when you probably shouldn't. Maybe we will all forget what you chose to say during your rush of adrenaline up at the mic. But now that it is blogged, we probably won't. It will haunt you even past the toasts at your wedding. Foo Foo, your beloved stuffed and somewhat mangled looking kitty cat you drag with you everywhere took your 15 seconds of fame. He is good.
I love you! My silly Boo!
